Imagine you go to a play and none of the actors have a script or even know what the play will be about – that is Improvisation (improv). Everything is made up in the moment: plots, characters, dialogues, scenes, and stories. To draw on some source of inspiration and to get started the improvisers will sometimes ask for suggestions from the audience. Some scenes and stories will be pure comedy, while others could be a drama, some can play in the future while others will explore the beginning of life – nothing is off limits, anything can happen and every show is unique.

Do I need to do something?

No, don’t worry, nobody has to go on stage… relax, and enjoy the show. The improviser will sometimes get suggestions from the audience and the audience is also in charge of giving out the points to the teams.
